Milboskolan is a F-6 school located in the pleasant Hille area on the northern outskirts of Gävle. The operation is divided into two buildings, F-3 and 4-6, and has about 350 students. Together with the schools in Björke, Trödje, and Bergby, Milboskolan belongs to the Bergby Principal Area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Gävle municipality is now looking for an engaged teacher in wood and metal crafts who wants to help shape joyful, safe, and creative learning environments for students in grades 3-6. Here you will work with craft education, good conditions for educators, and the opportunity to develop the subject together with colleagues who are passionate about learning. With us, you have the space to use your professional skills, creativity, and commitment to make a real difference in students' development.

Your responsibilities include:

• teaching, having class responsibility, and being responsible for mapping, planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons. The work is carried out according to established goals and guidelines.
• together with your colleagues, designing a good, joyful, and varied school day with the students' best interests in focus. You challenge and support students so that they achieve good academic results. The work is done in collaboration with other educators, student health, guardians, and other actors outside the school.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who:

• has a teaching degree and teaching license with authorization to teach grades 3-6 in wood/metal crafts and it is an advantage if you have other subjects on your license
• has knowledge of and is familiar with the curriculum for compulsory school
• has knowledge of and experience with digital tools
• has a good ability to express yourself in the Swedish language both orally and in writing

To succeed in the role of a teacher, you have:

• the ability to separate issues from individuals, as well as to take your own initiatives in social contexts
• the ability to create trust in your various professional relationships at school
• a humble approach in your collaboration with colleagues, students, and guardians
• the ability to lead and motivate students and help them feel comfortable and well in school. You are structured and plan your work well. You are good at creating an open dialogue and adapting your language to the current situation. You have a good ability to make students feel a sense of belonging and inclusion in school.

Interviews are expected to be conducted during week 13.

As a final candidate in the recruitment process, it is a requirement that you present an extract from the criminal record for work in schools or preschools. You can order the criminal record from the police's website.
